Creating a Strategic Plan
When focused on teaching and learning, strategic planning will positively impact student achievement. Pivot Learning Partners strategic planning process will help school districts develop an action-oriented plan that makes high quality instructional practice the focus of everyone’s work. Pivot Learning Partners believes that for a public school strategic plan to have real impact it must support alignment of the systems, structures, and processes (at all levels of the district) to the district’s mission, vision, and core values. The final plan must therefore be in a hands-on, usable form that focuses everyone’s work on student success.
Building a High Performance Governance Team
Governance impacts student achievement. This workshop will help build a “governance team” that includes both board members and district administrators and that maintains an effective focus on students and on the district’s goals for improvement. We will examine research to learn about the best practices employed by high-performance governance teams and how to put in place structures and systems that positively impact students.
