About The Project
The Transparent Budgeting initiative is supported through a grant-funded collaboration between Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Pivot Learning Partners and the American Institutes for Research. Externally know as the Strategic School Funding for Results (SSFR), the multiyear project includes two other CA school districts.

LAUSD Transparent Budgeting Initiative
Pivot Learning Partners seeks a full-time, locally based project manager to work out of LAUSD’s central office as part of Pivot’s on-site technical assistance team.
This position supports the LAUSD Transparent Budgeting senior management to implement a need-based, per-pupil, and transparent funding model. In this role, the project manager will develop and manage a project plan to engage community-based partners in developing and delivering training and coaching for School Site Council participants. The position collaborates with LAUSD’s Parent and Community Services Branch, Pivot Learning Partners and the LAUSD Transparent Budgeting team to design and manage a certification program to increase the supply of trained volunteers to support effective, efficient, and equitable participation in school budgeting processes.

Data Analyst

LAUSD Transparent Budgeting Initiative
Pivot Learning Partners seeks a half time, locally based data analyst to work out of the Los Angeles Unified School District’s central office.
This position joins Pivot’s on-site technical assistance team based at LAUSD and supports the LAUSD Transparent Budgeting team responsible for implementing a need-based, per pupil resource allocation system. In this role, the Data Analyst will engage in data collection and analysis and synthesize information related to program and policy decisions and to best practices in school-based budgeting. The Data Analyst communicates and collaborates with internal and external district stakeholders to create user-friendly information for public use.

Pivot Learning Partners seeks a full-time, locally based project manager to work out of LAUSD’s central office as part of Pivot’s on-site technical assistance team.
This position joins Pivot’s on-site technical assistance team based at LAUSD and supports the LAUSD Transparent Budgeting team responsible for implementing a need-based, per pupil resource allocation system. This Project Manager supports collaboration between the central office, local districts and principal working groups by managing communication, documenting principals’ ideas and feedback, and engaging principals and other district leaders in the design of the new budgeting system.

An integral member of the Strategic School Funding for Results (SSFR) team, the Senior Project Manager will provide leadership, project and change management, and technical assistance to help PUSD and LAUSD, two of the three participating districts, implement a need-based, per-pupil, transparent funding model. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will also importantly support effective communication and collaboration between Pivot, our research and project partner, American Institute of Research (AIR), other project partners, and LAUSD and PUSD, forming a single inside-outside team. On average, the Senior Project Manager will focus 3 days per week on LAUSD, 1 day on PUSD, and one day on project administration.
